Nestled below the former palace of the Bishops of Ely, this magnificent venue can accommodate up to 120 seated guests and 200 standing. The 600-year-old Crypt at St. Etheldreda’s has a storied past, having hosted celebrity parties since King Henry VIII’s three-day wedding feast with Catherine of Aragon in 1509.
As the oldest Catholic church in England and one of only two remaining buildings in London from the reign of Edward I, St. Etheldreda’s provides an extraordinary backdrop for your celebration. Today, the Crypt combines this rich history with superb food, impeccable service, and an exquisite wine list curated by the legendary, family-run Bleeding Heart Restaurants.
